Our Teachers



Prior to moving to Australia in 2014, Cintya worked as a Speech Pathologist for children in Argentina. Cintya has extensive experience in teaching young children and has helped many children overcome language development difficulties. Cintya is currently studying towards her Master in Education. She also works as an Outside School Care coordinator at a primary school in Melbourne and loves riding her bike around Melbourne. Cintya’s key strength is her energy. She can really make our Spanish class for kids feel like a party.



Vanessa has more than 10 years experience working at bilingual schools in Paraguay and UK. Her experience includes planning and implementing literacy, math and other subjects for Grade 1 and 2 in bilingual schools. She is in Australia studying towards a Master in Education from the University of Melbourne and also has a Bachelor of Arts (English/Spanish translation). Vanessa is great with puppets and is very creative. She can really make our Spanish classes for kids fun.



Maria is originally from Santiago, Chile and moved to Australia in 2019. She has more than 5 years experience working with children from 2 to 15 including assessing and preparing treatment plans for children with language development challenges. She has a Bachelor in Speech Pathology and will be completing a Master in Education from Monash University in 2021. Maria's key strength is her calm approach. She can really make our students sit down and learn Spanish with her. 



Weishan is our first Mandarin teacher. Weishan is originally from China and has been in Australia for more than 10 years. Weishan has a Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Teaching from RMIT, CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and is starting a Master in Education at Monash University. She also worked in several child cares in Melbourne prior to joining us at Kids & Languages. She loves playing the Ukalele during our Mandarin classes for kids and has a special interested in children's nutrition.

Bilingual education consultant

Andrea has more than 20 years experience as a primary and high school teacher at various schools in Australia and in Brazil. Andrea passion for bilingual education led her to create the Brazilian Ethnic School of South Australia in 2012. Andrea has a Bachelor in Education and various courses including in bilingual education, primary school education and adult. Andrea's creativity and passion has helped us create a program and class plans that our students love. 

Bilingual Birdies

Bilingual Birdies is a company based in New York. It currently teaches over 3,000 children per week in US. The Bilingual Birdies program teaches children from 1 to 5 years old through live music, movement, dance, puppetry, dance and fun. The Bilingual Birdies program is the reason why our Spanish classes for kids from 0 to 5 years old are so much fun.


Modern Language Teacher's Association of Victoria

he Modern Language Teachers' Association of Victoria Inc. (MLTAV) is a professional association for Languages teachers, and is the umbrella organisation for approximately twenty-two Single Language Associations (SLAs) in Victoria.  MLTAV supports teachers and learners of Languages other than English throughout Victoria by providing quality services, including Professional Learning opportunities, advocacy and consultancy. The MLTAV aims to encourage and promote the learning of Languages as an essential part of the school curriculum.

fKA Children's Services

fKA Children's Service advocates for children’s cultural and linguistic rights and provides support to education and care services in the provision of culturally rich environments that support a civil society. Through our membership with the fKA Children's Services, we have access to their Multicultural Resource Centre with a collection of over 1000 bilingual/multicultural books and resources.
